General and international terms of use

Updated on October 28, 2026

The specific terms for your country of registration take precedence over these general and international terms in case of differences, subject to applicable mandatory law.

Updated 28 October 2026

1. Purpose and international scope

GoViens connects drivers and passengers for ridesharing. These general terms describe the common framework for the website and application. They are provided by GoViens Corp., corporation number 1408673-2, 44 Palace St. Thorold ON L2V 0J7, Canada. They do not replace country-specific published terms or mandatory law.

2. Priority of registration-country terms

The specific terms for the user’s country of registration take precedence over these general and international terms in case of differences, subject to applicable mandatory law. Rules, rights and services may vary by country. Read the country terms before registration and each new version requiring acceptance. Acceptance refers to an identified version of the applicable document, not to this editable information page.

The trip’s country determines operational settings, including currency, permitted payment methods and available service options. It does not replace the registration country for identifying the account’s terms. Mandatory rules at the place where the service is provided remain applicable.

3. Account, identity and security

Users provide accurate, current information, protect their sign-in credentials and do not transfer their account. Age, capacity, identity, telephone and document requirements depend on applicable terms. Drivers remain responsible for valid licences, vehicle documents, insurance and compliance with local rules. Platform verification is not an absolute guarantee of safety or conduct.

4. Offers and bookings

Drivers provide locations, times, vehicle, seats, prices and trip restrictions. Passengers review these details and confirmation information before booking. Times are displayed in the relevant cities’ time zones; a time difference between cities may be indicated. Precise locations, stops, detours and changes must respect participants’ agreements and the application’s rules.

Trip and booking references identify operations and help support resolve issues. Users respect other participants, road safety and prohibitions on fraud, harassment and unlawful discrimination.

5. Payments and wallet

Booking methods depend on those authorised in the trip’s country and accepted for the offer. They may include the GoViens wallet, bank card, wallet at boarding and cash paid to the driver. If cash is the only authorised method in a country, the driver cannot refuse it. Prices, fees, taxes and benefits are shown before confirmation under applicable terms.

A card top-up is credited after payment confirmation, once for each payment. Card and wallet operations remain separate. Promotional credits are not a withdrawable available balance. Withdrawals depend on methods available in the country and required checks; a void cheque may be requested or supplied to verify bank-transfer details. Applicable delays and fees are those shown when the operation is requested.

Wallet credits may repay due debts in the same currency in the applicable order. Card collection requires a mandate and the specific terms; this page alone does not authorise a penalty or debit.

6. Boarding, cancellations and absences

The boarding confirmation code records passenger pickup. Its validity and reporting windows are specified in the country terms and application. The currently offered framework provides validity until six hours after scheduled departure and an absence-reporting window during that period.

For an unclosed trip, closure twenty-four hours after scheduled departure distinguishes trips without confirmed boarding, cancelled with repayment and no penalty, from trips with at least one confirmed boarding, settled as completed trips. A passenger who did not board a completed trip receives a refund under the applicable rule. Disputes and administrative decisions may require individual review. Compensation not yet awarded is not guaranteed during review.

Refunds go to the wallet by default; a card refund may be considered on request where available. Mandatory legal rights remain protected. Specific deadlines, deductions and procedures appear in registration-country terms and operation information.

7. Disputes and support

Report incidents from the booking or support and retain relevant references. Participants must provide truthful information and necessary evidence. Dispute decisions are reasoned and recorded; legal remedies remain available. GoViens support is available 24/7 by telephone or WhatsApp at +1 249-209-9000 and through the application’s support tools.

8. Responsibilities and availability

GoViens provides connection and operation-management tools. Drivers carry out the actual trip and each participant fulfils their obligations. Service may be interrupted for maintenance, security or circumstances outside the platform’s control. No clause excludes liability or rights that law prohibits excluding. Liability, suspension and dispute-resolution rules are specified in the applicable country terms.

9. Personal data and intellectual property

The privacy policy describes data processing. Personal content must respect third-party rights; do not disclose private documents in public spaces. GoViens trademarks, graphics and owned content are protected by applicable rights. Reuse must not infringe those rights or suggest a nonexistent affiliation.

10. Common operating rules

The settings below are set per country in that country’s terms, which take precedence.

A country may cap the number of trips a driver publishes per day, based on the departure date in local time; a round trip counts as two trips and a cancelled trip is not counted.

A driver may start before the scheduled time when all confirmed passengers have validated their boarding code. A trip that has not started is closed automatically twenty-four hours after its scheduled time: with no validated boarding, it is cancelled and passengers are fully refunded; with at least one validated boarding, it is settled normally and passengers who did not board are fully refunded, with no penalty for them.

If the driver does not show up, confirmed passengers are fully refunded. A penalty may be owed by the driver under the country’s rules; no penalty is collected automatically without prior notice.

Wallet top-ups only use real payment methods, including a saved card, and are credited only after the provider confirms them. For a cash trip, the GoViens commission is taken from the driver’s wallet; if the balance is insufficient, a partial settlement is made and the remainder is settled automatically when the wallet is next funded, in the same currency.

A fleet owner views the trips and revenue of their vehicles without being able to assign drivers or vehicles. Drivers and passengers can message each other through GoViens once the booking is confirmed, without sharing phone numbers; messaging is locked twenty-four hours after the trip ends, then archived.

11. Changes

This general page may change. Country terms requiring acceptance are separately versioned; accepted versions remain identifiable. Changes to the general framework do not rewrite previous acceptances. Consult the documents applicable to your account and contact support if uncertain.
